RAISE Communications

As the Regional Network of Networks, RAISE must maintain useful and efficient communications with its members, other stakeholders and interested bodies. We aim to make our communications relevant, accessible and authorative so that a wider understanding of the value of VCOs will be achieved, leading to an improved respect, value and support for their work.

To this end RAISE has adopted a friendly, accessible and non-threatening style which tries to open issues for discussion, engagement and, hopefully, resolution. RAISE's regular monthly newsletter Regional Network, normally comprising two sides of A4, is designed for easy reproduction and cascading throughout the Region. It is a valued source of timely, appropriate and authoritative information for VCOs.

This new RAISE Website is a step change in communications for RAISE. Not just telling the world how wonderful RAISE is, the Website is an amazing tool for VCOs, enabling them to create their own online community to:

• exchange ideas
• recruit staff
• understand the Region
• place themselves in a international context
• develop skills
• create policy
• store documents

plus much, much more. The list is long, impressive and challenging. The prospects it holds for the future networking of VCOs is both exciting and daunting.
