RAISE Networks
RAISE's Network of Networks provides a two way channel of communication between VCOs and Regional policy makers. We also support existing and new networks, particularly those for socially excluded people.
When your VCO joins RAISE it can also join one geographic and many special interest Networks - important sources of information, discussion and policy formation. The Special Interest Networks are currently:
- black and minority ethnic;
- children, families and young people;
- disability;
- environment;
- health and social care;
- learning and development;
- older people;
- regeneration;
- rural Communities;
- social Housing;
- urban Communities;
- volunteering and community.
The four Geographic Networks are:
- Berks, Bucks and Oxon;
- Hants and the Isle of Wight;
- Kent;
- East and West Sussex and Surrey.
In addition, RAISE facilitates a Network for the four funded Local Strategic Partnerships and a network for Funding Advice Workers. Regular Network meetings are announced on this Website and in the RAISE newsletter.
By joining a RAISE Network you:
- make sure you hear about policy initiatives;
- engage in issues that affect you and the people you serve;
- open debates on issues which emerge in the South East, particularly relating to disadvantaged and socially excluded groups;
- ensure your representatives at the Assembly represent your views;
- ensure that your experience influences decision making;
- ensure that the Network is a representative forum.
