What RAISE has been up to recently

We have gathered views and written substantial responses on drafts of documents including:

• The Regional Social Inclusion Statement ;
• the Community Fund's Second Strategic Plan;
• the Home Office's Funding Community Groups;
• The South East England Development Agency's (SEEDA's) Regional Economic Strategy
• the Assembly's Regional Transport Strategy.

We have published significant documents - all available in Inform - including:

• the Directory of South East Strategic Organisations and Networks (also available in RGuide )
• the Step by Step Guide to Successful Partnership Working for Voluntary and Community Organisations
• Research into homelessness in the South East Region .

At meetings and conferences, including a day with staff from the Government Office of the South East (GOSE), we have spread the message about VCOs' skills, experience and ability to reach the parts other sectors can not.

We have supported skills development in areas including:

• partnership working;
• quality issues;
• consultation and representation;
• compact development;
• policy development.

We have played a leading role with Regional partners including:

• the Health Development Agency
• GOSE , SEEDA and the Assembly
