Summary:

NCVO’s Compact Advocacy programme, funded by the Community Fund with support from Baring Foundation, has been running since January 2003 and helps individual voluntary organisations who feel that Government has breached the Compact between Government and the voluntary and community sector. Through these cases, the programme is building up a picture of the common causes of difficulties in the relationship between Government and the voluntary and community sector. This paper summarises some of the most frequent.
