A limited number of discounted tickets at a reduced rate of £50 plus VAT (£58.75) are available for delegates fromcommunity and voluntary groups, black and minority ethnic groups, faith groups, students and senior citizens.Those who qualify for discounted tickets may also apply for a bursary of up to £150 plus VAT to provide assistance towardstravel and accommodation costs. You will need to produce relevant receipts in order to claim reimbursement.

(1) A limited number of stands are available free to community and voluntary groups,including black and minority ethnic groups, faith groups and students and senior citizens,who are involved with urban issues.(2) Given constraints on space, organisations with similar interests are encouraged to putforward collective applications and work together on a single stand.(3) All stands will be nine square metres and comprise fully-fitted shell scheme, table, chair,two spotlights, carpet, and fascia name board. Each stand would get two staff passes a dayfor lunch and refreshment breaks. Staff would not have access to sessions at the Summit,and must pay any travel and subsistence costs incurred.(4) Specific location of the stand within the exhibition hall will be determined by ODPM.(5) Approval by ODPM for a free stand in no way implies that the Office agrees with theopinions expressed at the stand, or endorses the organisations involved.

The Urban Summit takes place at the InternationalConvention Centre in Birmingham on 31 October and1 November 2002. With places for 1,500 delegates, theSummit has been convened to discuss progress since theUrban White Paper. Hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister,the Summit will offer a wide range of people theopportunity to share their experience of urbanregeneration, discuss what works and what doesn’t,and outline their priorities for the future.walking or coach tour – during the two days.
