Roshan Bailey of Project Action would be interested to know if anyone is thinking of putting together a partnership to bid for SEEDA ESF Spec 232A. This is a research project into discrimination in the workforce, focusing on black and ethnic minority communities, older workforce and disabled people. It should drill down below the surface to look at less obvious forms of discrimination, drawing on the most recent information and data available and a survey of at least 400 companies and individuals, and should produce a 3 year practical action plan for the SE. Roshan would like to be involved in the design of the project, carry out some of the research, and participate fully in the evaluation of results. Her special expertise is in the field of disability issues, so she is looking for partners with special knowledge of issues around black & ethnic minorities and older people. Project Action wants to be a full partner but needs to work with an organisation with a more extensive track record in research as the lead partner. See www.projectaction.co.uk for information about Project Action's work and contact Roshan on email if you are interested in working together.
