Just to echo Tom's points, I think the potential for cross-fertilisation of ideas and know-how is huge. RAiSE!IT aims to get every member wired in to the project but I think it will take time for everyone to feel at home with this medium.

I believe that information and access to it are the bedrock for empowerment and involvement. I also believe that caring is enhanced by sharing and vice versa. This site facilitates my beliefs and will allow me to make a difference in more creative and innovative ways. We should all use the site to help RAISE expectations.

The mission of this site is to facililitate South East voluntary and community organisations' influence on Government policy wherever it is made or implemented for the benefit of the people they serve. There's also some neat stuff for you - like a free gateway to the UK's most exciting new funding site by clicking "Funding" (at left) or a complete guide to Regional Organisations through "RGuide". The site may be daunting in its complexity (some people say) but (others say) a moment spent browsing the site will yield immediate, useful, noticeable new knowledge for you.
