Role

GOSE works with regional and local partners to promote sustainable development and enhance competitiveness, prosperity and quality of life within the region. In part this is done through the sponsorship and support of SEEDA and by working with other partners including the Regional Assembly. A range of the projects and initiatives that involve the voluntary sector are listed in ?Linked Projects?.

Accountability

GOSE reports to the ministers of state for the departments represented in the region.

Regional Links

GOSE sponsors and supports the South East England Development Agency (which is accountable to the Regional Assembly). It works closely with SEEDA and the Assembly on joint events and initiatives. Other GOSE partners include: the Learning and Skills Councils; local authorities; Police Forces; Drug Action Teams; the NHS; Countryside Agency; Business Links; British Trade International, transport providers and the voluntary sector.
