The partnership aims to meet the need for knowledge and skills amongst key people involved in the process of community development in the South East - local residents; frontline workers and managers; and policy makers.
The partnership aims to enable communities to take a lead in their own regeneration, targeting communities most in need of regeneration with a set of training programmes across the region, provided by a range of universities, colleges and training providers.
The partnership has three programmes of work:1. Developing a New Training Approach (sharing good practice on how to approach social inclusion effectively, identifying training needs, and developing materials).
2. Network Development (establishing a database of trainers, creating a web resource of materials and exchanging best practice through an electronic forum)
3. The Ladder of Learning (establishing a bursary fund for unemployed community activists).
