Welcome"Championing social inclusion across the South East Region" SIPSE was a partnership of fourteen regional organisations. It had a main committee with high level cross sector regional representation, chaired by Rob Jones from the voluntary/community sector - a member of the RAISE Board and the Regional Assembly Latest NewsClosure of SIPSE and members continued commitment to Social Inclusion - March 2008 The Social Inclusion Partnership for the South East (SIPSE) has been brought to a close. This does not mean that social inclusion work is less of a priority in the region, and to demonstrate this, SIPSE members have set out how they will continue to contribute to the Social Inclusion Statement once SIPSE has ended. Social Inclusion Statement (2008) Published SIPSE has published the updated South East Social Inclusion Statement (2008). The Social Inclusion Statement is the commitment from regional organisations to make social inclusion a priority and reduce the deprivation and exclusion faced by so many people. Between May and August 2007 a public consultation was held to ensure that the Statement reflects the true picture of social exclusion in the region. Download a copy here . Tackling Child Poverty - January 2008 The SIPSE Action Group on Child Poverty has produced a briefing paper on the role of local government in tackling child poverty. It looks at how particular issues including benefits, housing, financial inclusion and ethnicity can impact on children. Download the briefing paper here . Social Inclusion Statement Consultation The Social Inclusion Partnership South East (SIPSE) is reviewing and updating the South East Social Inclusion Statement. The consultation ended on Friday 3rd August 2007. Thank you to all organisations and individuals who responded to the consultation. All the responses have been collated and are currently being analysed.All comments will be taken into consideration when SIPSE drafts the final Social Inclusion Statement. We are expecting the final statement to be available towards the end of 2007.
