Health Promotion Specialist Coronary Heart Disease/Tobacco Control

Job Description:

West Surrey Health Promotion is a hosted service working across 3 PCT's in West Surrey. We are looking to appoint a Health Promotion Specialist to be responsible for the development, co-ordination, and evaluation of Coronary Heart Disease and linked Cancer Prevention in North Surrey PCT. This full time post will also have responsibility for Tobacco Control across West Surrey to:* Develop and co-ordinate a strategy for Tobacco Control* Assist in the development of a Surreywide Tobacco Control Alliance* Plan, deliver and evaluate a range of CHD/Cancer prevention initiatives,covering key areas and settings linked to the Health Inequalities agenda.* Provide skills and knowledge based training for health promoters.

Salary Details:

£26047 - £28180 Hosted by North Surrey PCT and be based in Addlestone

Person Description:

You would need to demonstrate at least 2 years experience of working in Health Promotion/Tobacco Control. A postgraduate qualification in Health Promotion would be desirable. You will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels and have excellent training and facilitation skills. Car owner driver is essential.
