See full job file download for full details of locations available around the country.ObjectivesTo develop constructive working relations with key partners, especially local-level strategic agencies. To support the Fund’s regional communications and grant management strategies.Main Duties and Responsibilities• To provide regular briefing/liaison sessions with key partners at a sub regional level and local level, with an emphasis on Local Strategic Partnerships, Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts. • To support the Regional Manager’s work with key regional-level partners (GOs, RDAs, LDBs, Regional Assemblies etc).• To support development and implementation of Fund regional communications strategy, with an emphasis on developing case studies for use in communications work.• To support Fund consultation with key partners.• To develop regional work with grant holders to support the Fund’s post-award grant management strategies, (including running seminars, briefing sessions, undertaking speaking engagements and attending conferences with a range of audiences).• To provide regional briefings, data and papers.• Attend England Regional meetings and other Fund meetings as required.• To act as Fund spokesperson and deputise for the Regional Manager as required.

Person Description:

Applicants must have had relevant experience (a minimum of 2 years) in a public or voluntary sector body (or similar organisation). They will also need to demonstrate that they have:Essential1. Good working knowledge of England Regional structures, Local Government.2. Good working knowledge of issues facing the Statutory/Public and Voluntary sectors (with experience of working in either).3. Knowledge of different types of funding programmes.4. Experience of leading and working in partnership.5. Excellent organisational skills6. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.7. Strong negotiating and influencing skills.8. Excellent IT skillsDesirable1. Experience of grant making in a public, private or voluntary sector environment2. Experience of press and communications work, such as media interviews, drafting press releases, writing articles
