Job Description:

SCA, in partnership with a number of organisations, including the University of Southampton, SEREN & BCODP, have been successful in being awarded a contract by SEEDA from March 2004 the end of October 2006 for the provision of a leadership & management development programme for women, black & minority ethnic and disabled people who are managers in the care and voluntary & community sectors. The staff will work directly with individuals and groups of these managers, as well as guiding them to appropriate learning opportunities including free places on the Universitys open learning management course for voluntary sector managers.This is an exciting opportunity for two people, with management experience, to join a small team delivering this programme across the Region. This project builds on the success of the Just Managing Project run by RAISE and the University in 2002-3. As members of a small four person team, one of these two posts will cover the north of the region and one the south, with the Project Manager covering the region as a whole. It will be essential for one of the people appointed to live in the north of the region and one in the south. An office will be available in both areas.

£30,000 pro rata + car (each post 19 hours/week)

To be successful, the project workers will need to be energetic self starters who have experience of management/leadership training and can organise with imagination and flair. Computer skills and car driver essential.
