Project Description

The role of Treasurer be be shortly available at the Medway Carers Centre, the current Treasurer is leaving due to increased work commitments. We are a small charity whose aim is to help to advise, inform & support family carers.We have a number of different projects and we are involved in a wide variety of activities. The role is for approximately 10 hours per month to provide support in the financial aspects of the charity as well as 6 /7 meetings per year. This position is unpaid although Honorary.

Start in August /September ongoing.

Estimated Personnel Required

We are looking for a volunteer treasurer.

Special Skills Required

A knowledge of accounts for an income of £70k & rising is essential .With a good knowledge of the charity sector and the ability to advise the committee on financial issues. This role would suit a retired accountant or some one from the banking world who is interested in working for a local charity.
