"The Conference arises out of a three-year study of Brighton & Hove Neighbourhood Care Scheme – a good neighbour scheme supporting older people and people with physical disabilities. The Conference will explore the value of neighbourliness, befriending and care within communities in the context of contracts, commissioning and costs. The conference should be of interest to a wide range participants from practitioners to academics. We are particularly keen to have contributions from commissioners of health and social care services, and policymakers at a national, regional and local level"
