Summary:

A common purpose partnership consisting of regional stakeholders, members of the VCS who bring equalities perspectives and RAISE, working together to develop a framework for the advancement of a south east regional equality body/network. The framework will explore the aims, objectives, issues of representation and overall strategic direction. This framework is an initial step for the progression and development of a regional equality body. Once established it is envisaged that the body/network will raise standards within the sector, influence policy by utilising the most appropriate partnerships and be a collective ‘voice’ for equality, diversity and human rights in the south east region.
