Footprints for the Future - Post Conference Report11th October 2007The 2007 RAISE conference was held at Madejski Stadium, Reading on Thursday 11th October. Around 140 delegates attended from across the regionâs voluntary/community sector(VCS).The title of the conference was âFootprints for the Futureâ acknowledging the need for debate on the role of the VCS in the third sector arena and looked at what the âfootprintâ for the future may look like. During the conference we asked delegates to explore concepts such as:- The implications of central Government policy for the VCS;- The importance of the VCS having the opportunity to influence policy agenda;- The Government drive to involve the VCS in policy design and delivery at local level;- Equality and Diversity.
