Well Being Programme Expression of Interest
RAISE has learnt that a large consortium is forming to make a 1st stage bid into the Big Lottery Fund, Well Being programme. The Well Being fund provides over £165m of lottery funding to: improve / develop mental ill-health servicesimprove health through diet; nutrition and access to good quality food; create non-traditional forms of physical exercise to those unlikely to be engaged through sport.Projects should run between 3 and 5 years. The consortium proposing a regional bid in the South East will concentrate on the mental health and healthy eating strands. It will be a large regional (possibly national bid) circa £9 million. The deadline for the first stage is the end of July 2006 therefore expressions of interest are required by 14th July. The link below gives some more information including a form which needs to be completed by organisations interested in being involved. The Sunlight Trust, based in Kent, is handling the administration for this bid. Expression of interest forms should be returned to the Sunlight Trust.
